Moraira
The coastal town of Moraira, which is located between the larger Jávea and Calp on the Costa Blanca, belongs to the municipality of Moraira-Teulada.
It’s the perfect mix of old and new, Spanish and worldly. Do you need a break from the tranquility in Vall de Gallinera? Then you can choose to visit Moraira.
Do know that you are never alone on the city’s two most popular (sandy) beaches, L’Ampolla and Del Portet. From the latter you can take a two-kilometre walk to the Torre Vigia Cap d’Or.
Do you prefer to enjoy the surroundings when you are at the beach? Cala Moraig, which is about eight kilometers outside the centre, is known for its spectacular scenery, but is therefore not quite as quiet (and exclusive) as you might like.
Do you prefer a quiet place where you can snorkel? Both Cala Llebeig and Cala Portitxolet are extremely suitable for this.
Food and drinks
Do you like to eat fresh fish? The Bahia de Moraira quality mark guarantees that the fish has been caught in the municipality itself. Do you like to drink wine? The Fiesta del Moscatel celebrates the harvest of the Muscat grape (in September). The Mistela (a sweet, white wine) is made from this grape.
