Jávea (Xàbia)
The twenty kilometers of coastline, which consists of thirteen different bays and beaches, is varied enough to appeal to everyone.
La Granadella, which is located in the Granadella Forest Park, is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Spain thanks to its impressive surroundings. Do you decide to visit this beach? Please note that it is a pebble beach with limited parking.
Don’t you like La Granadella? La Barraca (Portitxol) and La Caleta (Cala Blanca) are also immensely popular. Because of the clear water and small pebble beach, these bays are ideal for snorkelling.
Do you go to the beach to sunbathe? L’Arenal is one of the few sandy beaches in the city. Although it is also the most touristic and commercial beach thanks to its facilities and parking, it is extremely suitable for families with (small) children and people with reduced mobility.
Do you like to hike? The most complete (and challenging) route through the Montgó National Park starts at the Levante embankment next to the Nautical Club of Xàbia. This twenty kilometer long route takes seven to eight hours and takes you, among other things, to the top of the Montgó. Are you up for the challenge? The PR CV 355 shows you the way. Make sure you avoid the heat as much as possible. Do you prefer a short(er) walk? The park is also accessible from Dénia, where several walks start from the ‘Ermita del Pare Pere’.
